Life Expectancy for each individual Color Stick for the Phaser 850, at 5% coverage:
Life expectancy for the Maintenance Kit is up to 45,000 drum cycles for the extended Maintenance kit, depending on usage. The starter Maintenance Kit has a life of 10,000 drum cycles, regardless of usage. The serial number on the Maintenance roller will begin with either E or S to indicate which type of kit it is. Also note that 2-sided (duplex) printing uses two cycles (even if the image is only on one side of the page). Service life of the extended kit varies with oil usage, which is a function of print quality mode and ink coverage. Oil usage is separated into three categories. These catagories and the associated kit life if printing only in that category are listed below.
The printer classifies each print as high, medium or low based on the print quality mode and the percent coverage as shown in the table below.
The printer tracks how many prints of each category have been ran on the installed kit and computes a percent remaining based on this information. See the Related items: for more information. |
